Palm in acquisition mode

In less than a week, Palm has acquired two companies to enrich its own future offerings. Last Wednesday they acquired AnyDay.com, an Internet calendaring service, and today they've annouced acquisition of Actual Software, makers of the popular and powerful MultiMail Pro email application for the Palm OS platform.

"This acquisition brings Palm not only world-class e-mail clients and conduits today, but also some of the industry's top talent and engineering expertise to help us drive the development of next-generation handheld mail and messaging solutions," said Alan Kessler, Palm's chief operating officer of Platform and Products.
