Job Opportunities

We're buried in work here in our editorial office in Shingle Springs in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas near Sacramento, California. No, we can't compete with Intel or Ziff-Davis as far as salaries go, but we think working with us is a lot of fun and a great opportunity for the right people. We need:

A jack-of-all-trades techno-wizard assistant editor who can write, edit, and do some layout and art. So if you're an eager beaver who loves mobile technology and digital cameras, who can write, do reviews, edit text, work in Adobe PhotoShop and Quark XPress on a Mac, and who wants to be part of what we think is a terrific (and hard-working) team here, email and tell us what you have to offer and why you'd make a great addition to the team.

We make great magazines, but need a couple of cool sales types to handle the advertising/advertorial side! No, no cushy draws and base salaries. We give you the product, you bring in the sales and get your 20% commission (no ceiling). If you need a steady income right now, this is not for you. If you seek a super opportunity to build something big for yourself, selling ads in our publications (Pen Computing Magazine, Digital Camera Magazine) could be it!! Email and tell us what you can do!

An enthusiastic intern to help out in whatever area of our publishing company needs help. This includes web site design and maintenance, some writing and editing, and generally an opportunity to earn basic experience in journalism and publishing. Email and let us know why you'd fit the bill.
