Samsung has announced plans to release in early 2002 a Microsoft Pocket PC line of handhelds that will be focused on integrating next-generation cell phone technology into these new Pocket PC devices. Samsung does currently offer a Palm OS enabled cell phone. [Reuters-Yahoo].

ARM has announced a new version of their microprocessor core for handheld devices that will offer improved performance and better battery life features.[InfoWorld, PC World]

Paragraph CalliGrapher 6.01 (natural handwriting recognition engine that supports cursive, print, and mixed styles) is now available for Microsoft Windows-powered Pocket PCs and Handheld PCs devices. There is also a new software developer kit (SDK) available for programmers and integrators.

ACER has "unveiled" a new Palm OS handheld called the S10 that will be using the Chinese version of Palm OS. [PC World]

InFocus has announced a new partnership with Toshiba to work together to bring new digital projection platforms to home users.

Targa Electronics Systems builds ruggedized data solutions that are ideal for military and aerospace markets. One of these lines of product uses the SanDisk's Type II flash memory PC cards, and these cards are currently being used on the following military aircraft: B-2 Stealth Bomber, NATO AWACS, C-5 Galaxy, F-15, and F-16.
