Palm OS news: #1.) Palm has taken over all the assets of Be, Inc. [infoworld]; #2.) Handspring's new Treo is getting a lot of attention [infoworld]; and #3.) Palm CEO Carl Yankowski has resigned, Eric Benhamou (Palm chairman of the board) will serve in his place until a permanent successor is named.

Adobe, Xerox, Yahoo, and other companies have formed a new service called "PrintMe" by Electronics For Imaging (EFI) that would enable mobile devices to "seamlessly" print via a network of wildly accessible printers. [wired]

CNET reports that Nokia's new 92100 Communicator smartphone has captured a significant amount of new handheld sales in the third quarter of 2001.
