DataViz has announced plans to incorporate their patented DocSync technology into future versions of Documents To Go Professional that should make it seamless to edit and view Microsoft Word and Excel files on Palm OS devices. Other planned features include: new formatting bar and full keyboard support for various portable keyboards.

ViA has announced that McDonald's has certified ViA's Mobile Point-Of-Sale (POS) System (MPS) as a viable remote order taking system for sales personnel within McDonald's stores.

Everypath has announced v3.0 of their Mobile Application Platform and new customers/partners: Sprint PCS, IntuitŐs Quicken.com, and NTT East.

Palmtop is now shipping Route Planner United States of America now for all Pocket PC devices.

SONICblue's Rio Division and Audible have announced that the Rio 600/800 digital audio players can now play Audible audio content. Currently there is a US$13 per month AudibleListener membership that allows for two downloadable audiobooks per month.

SYWARE has released a new free package of six easy-to-use Pocket PC database applications (Calorie Manager, Music Manager, Photo Manager, Grades Managers, Recipe Managers, Checkbook Manager) that were built using SYWARE's Visual CE.
