Hotsip builds products (client/server) that can communicate via Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). The company is jointly owned by Ericsson and Telia; and they have a good resource called "SIP for Dummies".

Developers' Nation has created a new online technical resource for Palm OS developers. Membership to the site will be US$100 annually and will include original developer resources from Palm.

Iomega has announced a new "modular drive platform" called "Iomega Peerless drive system" that is expected to be on the market in Summer of 2001. The drives will: come in a handheld-sized form factor; support either Firewire, SCSI, or USB interfaces; and offer storage from 5-GB to 20-GB.

Certicom and Symbian have announced plans to form a new partnership that will enable EPOC OS-based devices like smartphones or handhelds to access Virtual Private Network (VPN) solutions from companies like: Alcatel, AXENT Technologies, Check Point, Cisco, Intel, Nortel Networks, and Radguard.

IRM -- a provider of customer relationship management (CRM) systems -- has announced that they are now authorized to offer Thinque's mobile field force automation solutions.
