ARM and Imagination Technologies have announced a new PowerVR MBX microprocessor core for mobile 3D/2D/accelerated graphics applications. Currently Sega and NEC are two organizations that have agreed to license the technology for future handheld devices.

Wavecom and Handspring have announced a new strategic relationship to bring Wavecom's Wireless Standard Module (WISMO) technologies to Handspring's VisorPhone module that will support 900-MHz, 1800-MHz, and dual-band GSM (PCS1900) wireless networks and SMS services.

CMS Peripherals has announced a new line Automatic Backup Systems (ABS) for Windows systems (laptop or desktop) that support hard drive sizes from 6GB to 30GB using either PC Card or USB interfaces.

Enfour has announced the official release of Japanese "Keitai" font & proxy service for NTT DoCoMo's i-Mode characters.
