Mobli is a new software and services website dedicated for mobile handheld users (Palm OS, Pocket PC, and Symbian).

Denton Software Group has announced a new security software utility for Palm V, Vx, & IIIc users called "Cradle Robber" that will force your handheld to go into password protection mode once it has been removed from a rechargeable cradle.

Symbol Technologies has announced via a new press release that they have been awarded "Embedded Developer of the Year" at Microsoft's recently held Embedded Developer Conference 2001.

AOL is really pushing their new Mobile Communicator (RIM Blackberry device) in online, print magazine, and in TV ads. The device costs around US$300. Watch for a review in the next issue of Pen Computing.

Fictionopolis (an online fiction publisher) has announced plans to use Qvadis's Express Reader to build future fiction ebooks for handheld devices.

The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) has chosen VARGIS, Triathlon, & EarthData to provide them with digital mapping and digital imagery collection services. Part of the solutions provided by VARGIS will be a variety of mobile GIS collection solutions.
