Handspring has announced new services for their VisorPhone US$299) through VoiceStream Wireless and Powertel. Handspring has also announced that D&H's education division will be responsible for selling Handspring products on university campuses.

Bear River Associates has announced "PAF" -- a C++ application framework (user interface widgets, streams, TCP/IP, & scanning) for developing enterprise applications for the Palm mobile platform. Currently several solutions have been built with this tool, including: Primavera Systems' Expedition Mobile, and YourSherpa.com mobile client.
