Callisto Software has released Orbiter SMS Connector v4.0 that links Palm OS devices to Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) for doing configuration management.

Cahners In-Stat Group has published a new market survey entitled "Show Me the Customers: The Growing U.S. Consumer Market For Wireless Data Services" (#MD0101MP, US$2795) that has found that instant messaging, location-based services, news alerts, and banking/financial applications will be primary wireless consumer features in the near future. Some key factors needed to grow membership: flat-rate pricing, and better data services.

Socket Communications will be offering a new software developers kit (SDK) called "SPANworks II Bluetooth SDK" that will support the development of Team Computing applications that use Socket's Bluetooth wireless technology on Windows Powered Pocket PCs.

iambic has released Action Names Datebook v4.56 for Palm OS (US$30). New items in this release: bug fixes, improved GUI, and better integration between built-in databases.

Wireless One will be held 25-28Jun, 2001 in Las Vegas, NV.

Asynchrony has released v1.1 of their security utility packaged called "PDABomb" for Palm OS devices. Some new features: autolock delay options, wipe data if not synchronized after user-specified time, and displays user contact information when locked.
