Palm OS email applications -- Smartcode has HandMail (POP3, SMTP, & AOL); JP Systems has One-Touch Mail (POP3, SMTP) and BeamLink (two-way pager); and Actual Software has MultiMail Pro (POP3, SMTP, & IMAP4).

Marcosoft have announced a mapping system for Palm OS devices called "Quo Vadis" (US$65). Some features: U.S. coverage (23000 maps), road labeling, grayscale display, GPS support, search, and zoom.

VideoChip Technologies has announced a new CompactFlash (CF) savvy digital image viewing "Wallet" that offers a 320 by 240 24-bit color LCD viewing screen. This US$299 device will also output to digital video for publishing a collection of CF stored images.

UniLinear has announced their 12-mm Palm III form-factor PC-card slot clip-on device they are calling Parachute. Some compatible PC Cards enable the following capabilities: modems (analog, cellular, wireless, CDPD), paging cards, ATA Flash RAM (up to 64-MBs), GPS, and Ethernet cards.

On Technology has announced Meeting maker v6.0 with support for Palm OS clients -- along with Solaris, Windows, and Macintosh servers. Other clients can connect using "full featured Java savvy Internet browsers" along with native Windows and Macintosh desktop clients.
