Tip of the Day

The input panel remembers whether you use the keyboard or the character recognizer and automatically saves that as the current input method, but you can teach it much more. First, select Settings - Input Panel from the start menu to open the properties. If you have the keyboard set as your current input method, the option button allows you to select larger keys and use Jot gestures for spacing and other frequently used keys. Pressing the options button with Jot as your current input method allows you to turn on left-handed mode and select between the natural character set and a 'graffiti-like' alphabet that Jot calls the simplified uppercase set. An appearance tab on the Jot options panel also allows you to control the visual aspect of the recognizer.
